Pongal - Sreenidhi Style

12 January 2010 the students of our school celebrated Pongal turned out in traditional clothes; the girls in half-saris and pattu langas and the boys in kurtas. A special breakfast tucked in, we went to regular classes until lunch time to feast on an array of Pongal goodies. Young girls wearing classical attire entertained us with a folk dance around the festive pot. Snacking on Pongal, it was time to let our hearts soar…kite flying for almost two hours. Many students turned out to be natural kite flyers, and there were many colorful kites up in the sky. I’m sure airplanes on our flight path were surprised by the number of kites, that’s Sreenidhian style for you folks.
