Sports is a way of life at Sreenidhi. With the high class state of the art infrastructure & facilities, Professional Sports training is imparted to all students of the school under the guidance of qualified Physical Education Teachers, National, International Coaches and trainers.
Athletics & Swimming is an essential & compulsory activity for all students. These activities are very important for children as it will help them in improving flexibility of their body & strengthen them physically which in turn allow them to perform better in their selected sport & in life.
Through our Major Sports & Extra Time Zone sports program, a well chalked out sports program has been designed to cater student’s requirements. We offer the following games / sports to our students: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Horse Riding, Squash, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball and Yoga.
It is recommended that students must play ONE game / sport throughout the year which in turn will help them to excel in their choice of game.
During the Game / Sport Activity timings it is expected by all students to wear the school sports attire. It is expected that the student to bring their personal football shoes, shin guards, cricket kit, swimming attires, squash racquet, tennis racquet.
School shall be providing the basic games / sports equipments but as soon as student moves to advance level, a recommendation will be made by the coach to the parents for seeking the personal sports equipments kit.
Horse Riding and Tennis are paid activity, please refer to ETZ Sports Program details.
Incase the student is sick / under medical observation, he / she must show the medical certificate to the tutor / Instructor concern.
During the Game / Sport Activity if some injury / accident happen, the parents shall bear the cost of treatment. (Filling of the Indemnity Form by Parents is a must at the time of child’s admission).
SNIS sports team would be participating in most of the district, state, national & International events for exosure & attaining excellence.
Expenses (Travel / Food / Stay / Entry Fee) of Students representing SNIS for any out station competition shall be borne by the student as per school policy at that point of time / for that event. The cost of the school team attire shall be borne by the student.
Inter House competitions would be conducted as per the school calendar. The groups are as follows Grades 1, 2 & 3 (Mini), Grades 4 & 5 (Sub Junior), Grades 6 & 7 (Junior) Grade 8 and above (Senior). Student after signing for Inter House competition should turn up for their matches, if not then they will not be permitted to participate in other competitions / 10 points will be deducted from their annual house points tally.
Inter House Trophy / Certificate / Individual Award shall be given to the winner & runner up of the competition conducted.
There will be House & Individual student point system, which defines the house & students positions during the Inter House Competition conducted. These house points will be carried forward in deciding the Best House & Best Sportsman award at the end of term.
PE Department is a neutral body. Since they are not member of any SNIS Houses, they are expected to help the House In charges at the time of practice / selection of the house teams.
Though it is an optional activity for SNIS students, during the mid term / vacations school will be organizing sports coaching camps / workshops for promoting games / sport and improving the performance level of students. If they wish to join such camps then the charges will be borne by students separately.
