Children up to Grade V will be exposed to all games & sports activity for three days in a week. They have to come in Sports Uniform (house) for these three days which is given in the uniform package and they need not purchase any special sports uniform.
Children up to Grade V will be exposed without any extra charge to all the games & sports activity including Tennis but excluding Golf. School does not offer Golf for these age group children during regular School hours.
Children of Grade VI and above will have to select one “Major Sport” and this will be there for three days in a week.
Child has to select the “Major Sport” of his choice at grade VI when average age of child is about eleven years plus, because school expects and believes child to master the selected “Major Sport” over the years of his or her schooling.
Child will be given only one opportunity to change his selected “Major Sport” during these years of schooling.
Remaining two days they will have athletics which includes various activities like running, long jump, high jump, gymnasium, hurdles, shot-put, javelin throw, pole-vault etc. These activities are very important for children and will help them in improving flexibility of their body and strengthen them physically which in turn allow them to perform better in their selected sport and also in life.
For the selected “Major Sport” every child has to purchase “special sports uniform”. An extra locker will be provided for every child at school for “special sports uniform” and the uniform will be washed in School laundry itself.
It is essential to have name and admission number label stitched on every piece of “special sports uniform”. Parents should contact “Sports Administrator” for getting these labels stitched and ideally should be done at the time of purchase of respective sportswear.
There is no extra charge for all these “Major Sports” except Tennis . The fee charged for Tennis will be intimated through another circular shortly. The following sports are offered for “Major Sport”.
