SNIS-EPISCOPAL EXCHANGE 2010

Sreenidhi International School recently witnessed a Faculty-Student Exchange Programme with Episcopal School Dallas and St Mark’s, Dallas, USA.Faculty-Student Exchange Programmes besides other things basically involve exchange of culture and language. The Guests were overwhelmed and mentioned on more than one occasion the incredible hospitality extended to them.
Respect has always been an integral part of the Indian soul. From time immemorial we have always respected - our teachers, our elders, our parents and our guests.

Perhaps this why it is said:
‘Atithi Devo Bhavah’
Our guest is blessed.
Our visitor is God.

Sreenidhians Presented an apt show “ Sreenidhian Ethos” - An Evening of Dance, Music and Drama, which brought together our diverse Indian Culture and gave insight into what India is. Their Visits to historical places like the Chowmahala Place, Salarjung Museum and Golconda made them witness firsthand the ancient India, its Splendor and Royalty.

Learning, sharing was in the air during the exchange program, it was good to see our students accompanied by their peers from ESD during their academic sessions, which allowed insight on both ends as to how learning happens. The sports field witnessed exchange of sport activities, while our students learned Base Ball, the Sreenidhian’s taught the Episcopalians Cricket.

Art, Music ,Dance, Drama, IT and all departments of expression had diverse forms of representing thought. The fervor of the season was creativity, showcase of culture and enthusiasm of all things unique.

This exchange has added a new dimension to the school and the future has more in store as our students have already started gearing up for their visit to ESD and St Mark’s in October next year as well looking forward to the upcoming German Exchange Program in September 2010.

These Exchange programs certainly aim to make the world a better place, by diminishing the borders and making each one of us a Global Citizen.
